Sarah Jane Cion is a celebrated jazz pianist and the 1st Place Winner of the prestigious 17th Annual Great American Jazz Piano Competition, judged by jazz legends including Horace Silver and Kenny Barron. Her dynamic trio has performed internationally, including appearances at the Fukuoka Blue Note in Japan, the Kennedy Center’s Women in Jazz Festival, and NPR’s Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland.


Cion’s music has been featured in major films such as The Mule (Warner Bros.) and Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, showcasing her versatility as both composer and performer. She has recorded several acclaimed albums, including Indeed!, Moon Song, and Summer Night—the latter featuring Michael Brecker and reaching #12 on the Yellowdog Jazz Charts.


A frequent collaborator with jazz icons like Clark Terry, Etta Jones, and Bucky Pizzarelli, Sarah continues to perform with major ensembles including the Lew Anderson Big Band at Birdland and bestselling author/saxophonist James McBride.
