ABOUT
Serbian soprano Marta Hadzimanov is currently based in Germany, where she is pursuing dual Master’s degrees in Opera and Concert/Lied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim under the guidance of Prof. Caroline Melzer, following the completion of dual Bachelor’s degrees with Prof. SnežanaI Stamenković.
Her recent and forthcoming operatic engagements include Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Bergen National Opera Summer Academy “Opera by the Fjord”, Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore at the Operosa Festival Montenegro, the title role in Handel’s Alcina, Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Najade in R. Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos, and Titania in the Traum-Nacht-Sommer opera project based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, with
music by B. Britten and F. Mendelssohn at the Oper Oder Spree Festival.
She performed at Carnegie Hall as part of the Sound Espressivo Laureate Gala, presenting a programme of opera arias, art songs, and contemporary repertoire. She has appeared as a featured soloist at Vienna’s St. Sava Ball at the Hofburg Palace, performing with the Symphony Orchestra of the Serbian National Theatre, and made her debut as a soloist in Poulenc’s Gloria at the Berliner Philharmonie.
