Bedros Shetilian

ABOUT

Bedros Shetilian graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where he studied under Yuri Temirkanov. He has worked with many internationally renowned orchestras, including the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. He was awarded a medal and diploma from the Russian Cultural Foundation in recognition of his achievements in conducting.


He has participated in several major music festivals, including the Moscow Easter Festival and the Borgholm International Music Festival in Sweden, and has toured internationally in countries such as England, Sweden, and Finland.


In 2003, Bedros moved to the United States with his family. In 2008, he founded the Troy Orchestra in Troy, New York, and served as its Music Director for over five years. In recent years, he has participated in the St. Petersburg Palaces International Music Festival, where he conducted Mozart’s Requiem to critical acclaim. He has also collaborated with the London Mozart Players at St. John’s Smith Square in London, as well as with the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia. Most recently, his engagements have included concerts with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and the Armenian National Philharmonic. More
