Tango Argentina is a powerhouse of Argentine culture—a thrilling spectacle of movement, music and modern theatricality. Led and choreographed by internationally celebrated tango artists Guillermo De Fazio and Giovanna Dan, this electrifying ensemble brings the passion and elegance of tango to the world stage with unmatched vitality.

At the core of this production are eight world-class dancers and a live orchestra—featuring piano, bandoneón, violin, and double bass—under the musical direction of the acclaimed Fabrizio Mocata. Together, they conjure a visceral experience that is both timeless and cutting-edge, honoring tango’s rich heritage while propelling it into new creative dimensions.

After a 26-city U.S. tour in 2022 and a sold-out run across South Korea in 2025, Tango Argentina returns for its most ambitious North American season yet in 2026/2027—bringing audiences a seductive journey through the beating heart of Buenos Aires.

The Star Dancers: Guillermo De Fazio & Giovanna Dan

Guillermo De Fazio, born and raised in Buenos Aires, ascended to international prominence as one half of the iconic duo Los Hermanos Macana. His commanding style and technique, theatrical charisma, and deep cultural lineage make him a global ambassador of Argentine tango. With decades of touring, choreographing, and innovating, Guillermo’s brilliant artistry is both steeped in tradition and fearlessly contemporary.

Giovanna Dan, a dynamic, engaging dancer, was exposed to tango from an early age by her mother, a featured dancer in the famous Forever Tango Broadway show renewing tango’s popularity. Giovanna brings a dramatic presence and interdisciplinary influences to the stage. She is recognized as one of the first women to master boleadoras—a high-octane gaucho percussion art traditionally performed by men. Her impeccable technique and musicality make her one of tango’s most distinctive performers.

Together, Guillermo and Giovanna have:

  • Choreographed for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars
  • Headlined multiple PBS Specials, including Tango Under the Stars at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic
  • Starred in the award-winning Once Upon a Tango
  • Led international residencies in Dubai
  • Premiered their original production Un Viaje Por Buenos Aires in 2024 at the historic Ford Theatre in Los Angeles—an immersive, poetic journey through the evolving soul of Argentine tango.

With their company of elite dancers and live musicians, Tango Argentina is more than a performance—it is a revelation. The show pulses with history, sensuality, and bold new vision, inviting audiences into the very soul of Argentina’s most iconic art form.

As choreographers, cultural ambassadors, and visionary artists, Guillermo De Fazio and Giovanna Dan lead a tango renaissance that is as exhilarating as it is enduring.
