
ABOUT
Robert Anton Strobel (b.1988) composes meaningful music you want to hear. The over 20 commissions he has received through time include a work for the Ladyslipper Ensemble, two commissions from the Barlow Endowment, a work for some of the string players of the St. Louis Symphony, [TriO], among many others. He won the Southwest American Prize in the electronic music category. His work Scenes From The High Prairie won NFA Newly Published Music Competition in the Flute Ensemble category. He won 3rd place in the Bruno Maderna International Composers Competition. His symphonic work From the Book of the Dead was a winner in the Missouri Orchestra Composers’ project. His music has been played at the Aspen Composer's Conference, Art Song Lab, SCI Conferences, the Source Song Festival, the TUTTI Festival, among others. Robert has also done an artist residency at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts. His works have been broadcast on WPRB Princeton, and on Hawaii Public Radio multiple times. His music is published by Holy Sheet Music, Aldebaran Editions in Italy, and Forton Music in the UK. More
