ABOUT

As a critically acclaimed clarinetist, Mike enjoys a rich and varied career having performed in most of the major concert halls in the continental United States, with many world renowned ensembles including the orchestras of The American Ballet Theatre, The Metropolitan Opera National Company, The Harkness Ballet, Le Gran Ballet Classique de France, Radio City Music Hall, and The U. S. Navy Band and Orchestra, Washington, D.C. Solo appearances in The United States, Italy, Mexico, make him truly an International Performer.

His Carnegie Recital Hall Debut in New York City received critical acclaim in The New York Times.

Cavin was a Soloist, Recitalist, Chamber Music Player, Orchestral Player studio musician, Teacher and Coach in The New York Metropolitan Area for 15 years. As a soloist he was featured at Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Recital Hall, and on Broadway he was a featured performer in Over Here which starred the two remaining Andrews Sisters, John Travolta, Marylou Henner, and Treat Williams. Recitals were presented at many different halls, from Carnegie Recital Hall, The New York Historical Society, to many libraries on Long Island. Chamber concerts with Sopranos, Violists, Violinists, Cellists, Bassoonists, Trios de anche, Woodwind quintets etc. were also performed in differing venues in the NY Metropolitan area...
