Luca Sacher 

ABOUT

Luca Sacher is an emerging Italian Slovenian pianist who has performed across Europe and the United States. His personal musical interpretation and his refined touch are the result of a rich and diverse international education, which started in his native Trieste, Italy. He has performed in prestigious theatres and concert venues, including Teatro Verdi of Trieste, the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Seully Hall in Boston, Teatro Curci in Barletta, Teatro comunale of Gradisca, Teatro del Pavone in Perugia, Auditorium Revoltella in Trieste, Hall of Knights in the Duino Castle and Manzioli Palace. He made his solo debut with the orchestra of MusicFest Perugia, playing Beethoven C major concerto under the baton of Uri Segal. He has also performed with the Arlington Symphony, the Garland Symphony, Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra and the Amadeus Adriatic Orchestra. His performances have been broadcasted on regional radio stations and on Slovenian television. Sacher was also a jury member for the 7th and 8th editions of Allegretto Music Competition. 


Mr. Sacher graduated cum laude from Tartini Conservatory in Trieste, Italy (Class of Igor Cognolato). He also studied at both the United World College of the Adriatic and the Scuola Superiore del Trio di Trieste. This gave him the opportunity to study chamber music with Dario De Rosa and Renato Zanettovich, members of the legendary trio, as well as other noted musicians such as Bronzi and Jones. Around the same time, Sacher also studied under the tutelage of Roberto Plano at Accademia Cortot


S oon after graduation in 2013, Sacher was awarded a full scholarship to study with Michael Lewin at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, from where he graduated summa cum laude in 2017. There he was a two-time winner of the Piano Honors Competition and the winner of the 2016 Lee Scholarship Competition.
