ABOUT
Born in Florence in 1988, the encounter with Piano happens almost by chance at the age of 5. Gaia immediately shows a clear interest and an undeniable musical gift and at the age of 18 she gets the Bachelor Diploma at “Cherubini” Conservatory, as well as the classical secondary school Diploma.
During the following years she refines her playing attending some of the best musical academies with Pietro De Maria, Marian Mika and Vovka Ashkenazy, performing in many concerts and recording some pieces live on Tele 37, Tele Italia, Sky TV and Radio Vaticana. At the same time she deepens her passion for chamber music playing in various ensembles, from the duet to the chamber orchestra, and attending the courses of Bruno Canino, Piernarciso Masi, Antonello Farulli e Mario Ancillotti. In 2011 she collaborates with the Italian Youth Orchestra for the Festival of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under the direction of Mº Andrew Boreyko.
Opposed to competition being an end in of itself, but aware of the importance of the exchange of experience with other musicians, Gaia participates at over 30 competitions winning the first prize in 15 of them...More
