David Mikić

ABOUT

David Mikić, born in 2000, is an Austrian pianist from Feldkirch. In June 2025, he graduated with an Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London. Since July 2025, he has served as President of the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA) Austria.


David began his musical education at the age of six with Ulrike Kessler and continued his studies at the Feldkirch Conservatory under Benjamin Engeli. He completed his Bachelor's studies in Austria with Anna Adamik before pursuing a Master's degree in Performance with Benjamin Moser in Lucerne, Switzerland. Further studies followed with Dmitri Demiashkin in Zurich and, most recently, with Dorian Leljak and Gordon Fergus-Thompson at the Royal College of Music in London.


Among his competition successes are numerous first prizes and special prizes at the Austrian national competition Prima la Musica, as well as First Prize at the International Caneres Competition in Vienna.


His performance activities have included appearances for organisations such as the Chopin Society Feldkirch, the Rachmaninoff Foundation in Lucerne, the Austrian Cultural Forum in London, and the Sterne von Morgen concert series in Hohenems. During his studies at the Royal College of Music, he performed regularly at venues including St Mary Abbots Church, St Marylebone Parish Church, St Bride’s Church, St John’s Fulham Church, and the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London.
